Govedartzi

Govedartsi is a small village, situated 80 km away from Sofia, at the foot of Rila Mountain. Borovets is very close, just 26 km away. Cherni Iskar River flows near the village. Govedartsi is a small winter resort and is close to Malyovitsa resort.

The visitors of Govedartsi can walk in Malyovitsa valley, climb Malyovitsa peak and enjoy beautiful sights. The village of Govedartsi is a starting point for tourist routes in Rila Mountain. Some of the most popular routes are to the Rila Monastery and the Seven Rila Lakes. Yovchevo Lake is situated near Govedartsi. It is a perfect place for picnic. Other popular pastime activities are walking in the nearby pine-tree woods, picking up forest fruits, mushrooms and herbs.
